This Privacy Policy explains how NWADO SOLUTIONS ("Nwado Solutions", "Nwados", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit nwados.com, contact us, subscribe to our updates, or use our services. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, fairly and transparently.
We operate internationally and serve clients in the United Kingdom, the European Union and across Africa. We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), and applicable data-protection laws in the African jurisdictions in which we operate, including Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 and similar frameworks.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Nwado Solutions is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at contact@nwados.com.
2. Data we collect
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, country, company, budget, and any message you send through our contact form, subscription form, or messaging channels.
- Subscription data — when you join our Insights mailing list we store your name, email address, the date you subscribed and the page you subscribed from.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and referring URLs, collected through cookies and analytics only where you have consented.
- Client project data — where you are a client, information needed to deliver our services and accessible through your client dashboard.
3. How and why we use your data (legal bases)
- To respond to your enquiries and provide quotes — on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
- To deliver our services and manage your account — on the basis of performing our contract with you.
- To send you Insights updates you signed up for — on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To measure and improve our website — on the basis of your consent to analytics cookies.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations — on the basis of our legal obligations and legitimate interests.
4. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies are required for the site to function and are always on. Analytics and marketing cookies are switched off until you accept them through our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. For more detail, see our Cookie Policy.
5. Third-party services
We rely on carefully chosen providers who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers. These include:
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics, loaded only after you consent to analytics cookies. Google may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
- WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) — when you contact us via WhatsApp, your message and number are processed by Meta under its own terms and privacy policy, and by us to respond to you.
- Resend — our transactional email provider, used to deliver enquiry notifications and the emails you have asked to receive.
- Hosting & infrastructure — our website and data are hosted with reputable providers that maintain appropriate security measures.
6. International data transfers
Because we operate across the UK, EU and Africa, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or adequacy decisions, to ensure your data remains protected.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Enquiry data is typically kept for up to 24 months after our last contact; subscription data until you unsubscribe; client and financial records for up to 7 years to meet legal and accounting obligations. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymise it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data (the “right to be forgotten”) where there is no overriding legal reason for us to keep it;
- restrict or object to processing, including direct marketing;
- data portability — receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@nwados.com and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); in the EU, your national supervisory authority; or your relevant authority in Africa, such as the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
9. How we protect your data
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege principles — to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
10. Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its revision date.
12. Contact us
